February Storm 2021

Mississippi weather brought in snow, ice then water this year. Record breaking low temperatures producing snow came in quickly to give us a winter wonderland! Wow!Houses and yards looked exceptionally beautiful all around the state. The excitement and beautiful photos are great memories for all in the South! The aftermath in our communities though, tells another story when snow and ice begin to melt. SERVPRO of Jackson and Madison started working on gathering information in early February on when and where snow and ice might occur in our metro area. Our GM and production managers gathered to start the process of being SERVPRO READY for this MS STORM 2021. Our team members were brought up to date on possible storm arrival time frame. Our managers and crews began the process of readying trucks, vans and all equipment so that our plan of action would unfold quickly for our customers as the melting ice was soon to come. Our outstanding office staff was prepared to work from home if roads and bridges were to be closed. Sunday night through Wednesday brought extensive icy roads and roofs of snow. Melting snow started on Thursday and SERVPRO of Jackson was all in to service home owners and commercial businesses as the roads continued to open back up. As always, our technicians and managers were ready and worked through our jobs daily to get our home owners and surrounding businesses ready for the next step in getting the metro area back up running!
